Day 01: Vilnius (Lithuania)

A Lithuanian national dish of potatoes, meat, speck and sour cream

The Lithuanian capital is located where several cultures meet, and it is by right included into the UNESCO World Heritage list. As the most northern European baroque town, Vilnius astonishes by architectural perfection of sacral buildings. The harmony of several cultures gives the city a unique gloss.

Day 02: Vilnius -Trakai – Vilnius

Daily specials: Kibinai
A national Karaite dish with lamb stuffing

Meeting with the English speaking Guide. Sightseeing and walking tour of the Old Town: the Gates of Dawn with the chapel of the Vilnius’ Madonna, St. Anne’s Church, Bernardine Church, Church of St. Peter and St. Paul, Cathedral of St. Stanislav and Vladislav, Vilnius University, Town Hall Square, Jewish Quarter etc.
Excursion to Trakai, located in the National Park; a tour of the medieval capital of Lithuania and visit to the Island Castle. (Entry). Currently, the city of Trakai is colled the unofficial capital of one of the Lithuanian minority - Karaites.
Optional: Lunch in the traditional Karaite restaurant.
Dinner at the hotel restaurant.
Overnight in Vilnius.

Day 03: Vilnius – Pakruojis – Rundale – Riga (Latvia)

Daily specials: Puff dessert of rye bread
A dessert from the Latvian national cuisine made of rye bread, whipped cream and currants

Visit to Pakruojis Manor. (Entry)
Pakruojis Manor has been for the first time mentioned in documents in the 16th century, and in the 19th century, it belonged to the noble family of von der Ropp. During an interactive tour, guests will get themselves familiar with the lifestyle and household of the ancient manor. Optional: After the tour, the visitors will have lunch in a traditional style with tasting of local beer.
Transfer to Latvia. The Palace of Duke of Courland Biron in Rundale, built by architect Bartolomeo Rastrelli, is an outstanding monument of baroque and rococo architecture in Latvia. Tour of the Palace-museum. (Entry)
Transfer to Riga. Hotel accommodation.

Day 04: Riga (Latvia)

Daily specials: “Man’s kiss” and “Woman’s kiss”
Sprats in traditional strong or tender marinade in Latvian style – with potato or on bread as a sandwich

Riga, the capital of Latvia - the largest of the three Baltic capitals and recognized pearl of the Art Nouveau - delights by its historical center and Old Town, which were included into the UNESCO World Heritage list in 1997.
Sightseeing and walking tour of the Old Town with a visit to St. Mary’s Dome Cathedral (Entry), external tour of the House of the Blackheads, churches of St. Peter and St. Jacob, Parliament (Saeima) building, Monument to Freedom etc. Tour of the Riga Central Market pavilions with tasting of local products and traditional food of Latvian culinary specialists.
Dinner at the hotel restaurant.
Overnight in Riga.

Day 05: Riga – Sigulda – Pärnu – Tallinn (Estonia)

Daily specials: Salad of beans with smoked chicken
A dish of the Latvian cuisine

Tour of the Art Nouveau architecture in the historical centre of Riga.
Transfer to Sigulda. Visiting the ruins of the episcopal castle in Gauja National Park. (Entry)
Optional: Lunch in the Tavern.
Trip to Pärnu (Estonia), the former Hanseatic city, today a popular resort on the Baltic Sea, which bears the title of Estonian summer capital. Short sightseeing in the Old Town or walking on the beach.
Transfer to Tallinn. Hotel accommodation.

Overnight in Tallinn.

Day 06: Tallinn

Daily specials: “Kama”
A traditional Estonian dessert, prepared from flour mixture of rye, wheat, barley and pea

Tallinn, the medieval Hanseatic city in the past and modern capital of the Estonian state nowadays, wonderfully combines late Gothic and high-tech. Perfectly preserved medieval Tallinn’s Old Town has been included into the list of UNESCO World Heritage.
3-hour tour of the Old Town: the Upper Town, Toompea (the Dome Cathedral, House of Parliament (Riigikogu), School of the Dome Cathedral, Orthodox St. Alexander Nevsky Cathedral, Danish King’s Garden and a viewing point); the lower Town (St. Nicholas church, the Holy Spirit Church, Guild Houses, Town Hall, Town Hall Square). Sightseeing tour of the city and near surroundings: the medieval Town Wall with city towers, Opera Theatre, Promenade, St. Brigitta Convent ruins, Kadriorg, Song Festival Grounds. Leasure time.
Optional: Visit to the Lennusadam maritime museum (Seaplane harbour). In the Maritime museum, they exhibit famous Estonian Navy submarine Lembit, which took part in the World War II and spent 75 years under water - more than its analogues did. It is possible to see the interior of the submarine.
